What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA. I have a question about Advair and heart failure. Some of you may remember my husband had died in March without a positive diagnosis. Since then The autopsy confirmed amyloidosis as the cause of his problems (heart, renal failure). STILL waiting for the results of what type of amyloidosis he had. The question I have now is should his doctor have continued to give him Advair in the hospital when he was in heart failure? Looking at his records I see he used this about a half hour before he went into bradycardia and died. I am not looking for a lawsuit and I know with amyloidosis it probably wouldn't have made much difference with how long he had left. But given the warnings about Advair , maybe this wasn't a good choice? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Advair can be given to heart failure patients though caution is advised; hf isn't an absolute contraindication.

The autopsy results were not available to the physician who treated the living patient.

'nuff said.
