What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan
I have a domestic violence from 2000, for a fight I got into with my sister and I was 17 at the time, in 2005 I got a Driving while Impaired. Will this ruin my chances of joining the Army?

If your domestic violence conviction qualifies you under the Lautenberg Amendment for the lifetime ban on possessing a firearm, then you may be disqualified as service regulations prohibit you from attending any service school where instruction on individual weapons is part of the course of study.....for example, Basic Training.

It certainly doesn't help your chances. If you are persistent, a recruiter will do the work to see if you are qualified for military service.
