Dad has Saturday 5pm until Sunday 7pm. 2nd,4th and 5th weekends.
If dad doesn't show up Saturday night for pick-up can he still get the kids on Sunday for a day?

Overnights and weekends is new for us. I was just wondering if the kids and I had to sit around waiting all weekend if he doesn't show up on Saturday night.

no however it doesnt hurt to be flexible for the kids.

If your court order doesn't specifically disallow it...yes.
Unfortunately, and rightly so, the judge doesn't make time for the little petty details such as this. There is nothing specific in the orders, just simply that dad has Saturday night until Sunday evening.

Dramatic much...?

If he doesn't show up Saturday night, but shows up Sunday morning, it's not exactly "all weekend" that they're waiting. Taking in to account the time they are asleep, it's only a couple of hours...

Ahhh...

If the court order does NOT specifically say the weekend time is forfeited if he is a no show at pickup. Then at any time during that weekend if dad shows up and wants the kids within his timeframe, and they are available, you should give them to him, as technically its his time.

ummm back up the bus....sometimes this does make it into people orders.

You don't have to be chained to the house all weekend but if dad calls and the kids are sitting around wtching sunday morning cartoons, let him have them. Its that simple.

Sorry, but that should probably be rephrased as "they should be available".;)

Just sayin'...
