What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama

I just viewed my Equifax report and there are 4 accounts for Midland Credit Manangement. I know this is a a debt buyer but I can't understand why I have 4 of these on my file. It does not tell me who the debt was originally for. How can I find out more without renewing the statute of limitations?
Also, I am having trouble finding the statute of limitations for Alabama. Every webpage I have went to has been too vague. I need better explanations of how the statute of limitations works. Does the statute start over with each account being sold again and again?

Also, if I am unemployed and child support is the only income I have now, can it be garnished?

Of coruse - dfromnyli has given NO information relating to your question.

You can ask about this debt without resetting any SOL clock. Don't agree to making any payments. Just gather information. If possible, send a letter.

You can send them a letter inquiring which companies those debts were originally from. You don't need to make a promise to pay. Just ask, then move from there.
