Thank you for the definition of fear-mongering. It only backs up what I believe the OP is doing - using fear (her fear that Dad will abuse the children without proof or evidence that he has EVER done so in the past) to influence the courts and her children and restrict Dad's visitation with the children. Pattern of repition? Heck yes, considering that she keeps waving that abuse flag around here.
Its only "waiving the abuse flag" if the accusations of abuse are false. While I think she has handled things poorly she is coming across fairly credible on that particular issue.

Again, though its not fear mongering.

and that was part of the point that was being made.
Yes, and the other part was that a woman who hasn't birthed children has no valid opinion on child safety. Sorry but, after that comment, I don't put much consideration into any part of the point being made.

But she is waving the flag over her children. Even by the OP's own admission, she has no evidence that Dad has ever abused the children. I believe SHE was abused, but I don't believe the children have been or that Dad is a threat to them.

I don't think that she has made any such accusation in court.

Look, this is a situation where dad was abused by his father. Dad abused his sister and dad abused mom. Therefore, unfortunately for everyone, there is a greater chance that dad will abuse his children than there would be otherwise.

I understand that many parents make false abuse claims against the other parent. However, there are some cases where there is a viable cause for concern. Mom has to pay attention and be aware, or she will actually be neglecting her children.

If mom convinced her entire neighborhood that dad was a pedfiliac monster therefore causing him to be attacked and beaten by the neighborhood thugs, THAT would be fear mongering.

But unfortunately for the children Mom has no proof of ANY ABUSE. She chose $$ over her own and her children's safety. She knew all about this (past abuse)and still chose to have two kiddo's with this guy. She COULD have placed the children before her own needs, but chose not to. :(

Unfortunately for these children neither "parent" is really fit.
