Tenant pays for March rent...few days later there is a fire in the apt above him. He can't stay in his apt cause of the water damage. He takes his clothing and what wasn't distroyed and finds temp housing. a month later apt is ready for him to live in. LL expects him to pay for new fridge (he left food in it and some hoe maggots took up residence...fridge is 19 yo...) and new (again 19 yo) stove because the side facing the cabinets was "stained". She also expected him to "eat" marches rent and to pay for April. She also expected the tenant to see that the contractors did their job.
