What happens if the girl my child's father cheated on me with presses false charges against me, a health careworker, for a false HIPAA violation because he told her I was looking in her file but i dont have access to the information she claimes I know about, which are labs and I dont work in that department?

Your employer will investigate. Even if you had done something, there is no criminal charge associated; at worse you could be reprimanded/fired. But she should understand that there's usually at least something of a papertrail when it comes to who has access and if you don't have access she'll be very hard pressed to prove her allegations.
