What are the laws and rules regarding a teacher sharing students grades with other students. For example can a teacher tell other students in the class that a certain student has failed the class?

No I dont think that is the case. I am not thinking about suing. I dont care about the money, I would however like to see that teacher fired. There is a confidentiality policy for all schools when a teacher is hired on. My thought was that if that was violated I would not be responsible for paying my agreement when they have broken theirs.

I am in UT, I dint ask for Free policy advice did I?
you asked for free legal advice by signing in and asking a question. your answer: the teacher did nothing illegal.

if it's policy, it's the school's policies. they are allowed to follow or NOT follow. it's their call.

Violating school policy is NOTHING like violating the law. You can talk to the teacher's boss and the teacher's boss may choose to discipline her or not - you will NOT be told either way. She's not going to get fired over it. And she broke no laws so you can't sue her and she committed no crime so you can't have her arrested.

Basically, get over it.

Trying to weasel your way out of paying a bill, by claiming the teacher ousted you as a failure, is not going to work.

1. Pay your bill.
2. The rest of the class had probably already figured out you were a failure, without anyone telling them. I find that failures have a distinct look about them.
