I would just like to add, that IF the parents file a report, and the DA pickes up the charges (as they certainly should) AND if [mom molester] is convicted of a felony sexual abuse charge, the baby would MOST LIKELY be given to the dad to raise while [mom molester] served her sentence, then reunited with baby, but unlikely custody would change hands, unless all parties (molester and dad) agreed to give innocent baby back to mom.

The adult can get charged with a felony. The parents of the minor do not have to press charges. if anyone finds out about it, she can be prosecuted. Plus, the father of the child CAN sue for custody and since mom could well be in jail or prison, he just might gain custody.

Yep, I know. But, since the parents of the minor have no legal standing to sue, they would have to back their child's play. Unless they can argue that both the adult and their own child are unfit, the parents wouldn't stand much of a chance. And if they argue that the minor child they raised and are in charge of is unfit, that raises some other uncomfortable questions. Possible, yes - I have seen it happen - but generally only when the minor is also incapable of assisting with the baby due to jail or drugs.
