Child Support after 18?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Nevada

I've been trying to look up guidelines/laws in Nevada as to whether or not child support is/can be required after the child turns 18, and under what circumstances, if so (ie: college student living at home).

Also, if the payments would/could go to the 'child,' or if they would continue, instead, to go to the CP.

I'm not having any luck. Anyone here know the answer, or where to look?

The payments will not go to the child unless the CP forwards the payments to the child themselves.

Does the child support order address any of these matters?

Child support in Nevada typically goes until age 18 or until high school graduation, whichever occurs later, but no longer than age 19, unless the child is handicapped.

There isn't an order in place. Its actually something we were discussing at work because there is a friend of a friend who is in the process of divorce. Apparently his soon-to-be-ex is asking for child support through the daughter's college years. She is 18 now, but graduates high school in May.

I'm not going to offer an opinion or advice, but if there was a place to read/research, I could put THAT in as my 2 cents-worth.

Thank you for your replies, though.
