What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? pa
back in 2008 i filed for child support. the original amount was to be well over $100 a week. i felt that the amout was too high, so i asked that it be $75 a week. in february 2009 my son had to get braces on his teeth. my health insurance only covers $600 a year for dental. mom will not help with the costs of the braces, other dental bills or the copays for our sons counceling. i still owe $1700 on his braces and have spent a bit over $4000 in medical bills combined. my attorney says that our parenting coordinater should handle it, but he seems to have no interest in the situation. should i seek help from domestic relations, wait for the parenting coordinater handle it or just bit the bullet? i don't want to upset mom, but some help with this matter would be appreciated. i have asked he for help before and she just tells me "that is why i pay you child support".

What does the court order state regarding NON-covered medical/dental?

from what i can see on the domestic paperwork, it states that i am responsible for 53% and mom is 47%. this is why my attorney feels the parenting coordinater should handle it. in fact at out custody trial she asked the judge to put him in charge of handling the medical stuff. the parenting coordinater commented back in december that he would look into it, but has not contacted my attorney for any copies of the explanation of benefits i supplied her. i have even emailed him stating that i could bring along copies of the staement, but i never get a reply.

If you have an attorney then you should request s/he file a motion for contempt of court order.
