What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FL

Hi there, I have a question:

I have a supplier for my business. I buy different electronics from this company. Every time I buy something from this person he gives me a receipt.

My question is this: If by any chance, he stole some of this merchandize, would I be in trouble? I have all paper work of every purchase. On my side everything is in order. And I'm not saying "I know for sure" that the merchandize is hot, cause if that was the case I wouldn't buy it. But I'm just asking this because this is a new provider and I dont know him that well......

Anyways, would I be in trouble or not? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

You wouldn't be asking unless you suspected the stuff was hot. Why don't you ask him to show you where he got it? If he won't then find a new supplier.

Yes, you could very well be charged with possession of stolen property if it is indeed stolen. I would stop using such a supplier if there is any question...but I seem to have the vague sensation that you know there is the possibility its stolen as you wouldnt be on here asking if you didnt.
