Never mind mister incompetent...Do you think those lights would be any cause to deny release?
I can't think that they would. If they are illegal, you might get another citation for them, but I cannot see that it would prevent the release of the vehicle.

But, see, it's things that I cannot know - and that officers you might talk to cannot know - that make it important that someone with the proper authority make this decision. If they do not release it, then you may well have a good small claims case against them if the did not adhere to the codes and to agency policy. Hopefully they will release it, but you don't know.

I did not only talk to just officers. The last person I talked to was a corporal.

I know a couple of officers. Would they be in any violation if I were to ask them to show me any information in their computers regarding me?

The corporal may not have all the facts. Again, this is why there is a process. You ask people isolated questions without all the facts, they form the opinion based upon a limited - and one sided - presentation. It is impossible to know if there is anything else holding it up unless they are the person responsible for the hearing process and privy to the law, the agency policy, and all the pertinent facts.

Yes, you can ASK someone to show you whatever records they have on you, but that does not mean they have to or even that they should do so.
