What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? VT. I got a letter from the insurance company that my wc was approved. But, since I am on light duty and not employed they want 10 contacts a week and to send them back their paperwork showing my 10 contacts a week. This seems unreal to me since even unemployment asks for 3 a week. I don't have a car and not sure how to handle this. Does this seem a bit extreme? Oh, and do I receive a check weekly still from WC? How does that work? ty

How can you be on light duty and unemployed at the same time? (You can't) and who extacly wants 10 contacts per week. If you be more coherent in your post, you might get some answers.

Do you mean you are on light duty as in you are working light duty right now or do you mean you have been cleared by your doctor for light duty but are not currently employed?

And if your WC insurance is paying for an injury you received at work why would they want you to make ten attempts a week to find a new job?

Your questions make no sense.

Thus, the post isn't coherent as I said!

Sorry all. I see what you mean. I was fired while on light duty. The insurance company whom I am receiving the checks from have me as not 100% yet, so I am still getting worker comp checks. My employer fired me two days after going back to work, not happy I was on light duty. Anyways, the insurance company in a letter I received wants me to fill out these forms, they look almost like what you would list for employment contacts each week. They know I am no longer employed. They are requiring me to have 10 contacts a week to keep getting my workmen comp checks. I can work within limits I guess. I find this extreme. Plus I asked how often am I suppose to get these checks? I received a check last week which was a retro amount due me already. Just wondering how this all works, seems kind of extreme to me. ty
