Never said anywhere here that it was illegal. That does not preclude me or anyone to argue such case in a court of law, should it be my wish. It is not as black and white as you may perceive it. There could be a retaliation premise hidden in the LL position; one might argue. And that is illegal. Provided that it can be proven; that is my point here.
You , your own self said it wasn't provable . What have we here on FA lately within the last couple days ? Trolls ? Bye Bye if so like the other one.

Go soak your head in the sand .

I gave you the friggin links , smart a**

Note : It doesn't matter how many years someone lives in a rental, they do not own it .

I am having a hard time following here. Is there a language other than English you would be more comfortable using? (I speak whatever languages Google Translate does).
Hey YAG , follow parinello in the former Greece Police chief case . LOL.

He's been jailed for contempt before .

Amazing ..

Note: most of his clients go to prison . The high pd. defence attorney .

Where's the Hammer now ?

Rather than being so arrogant, it might serve you right, had you followed the thread carefully. Check your grammar for subjunctive. That is why (hint) if, should, could etc.. are used throughout this thread.

Ciao Bello!

BL, there is no need for sarcasm and or vulgarity here. We can all in a civilized manner, respectfully desagree.

Then it'll be extra hard for you to give a reasonable answer for why you called a senior member "arrogant" for asking a valid question.

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
Please, lay off the hierarchy and patronizing attitude Mr. lack of aplomb; nice moniker though. I am so scared... the Principal's office next?

I am going to suggest that you may not know all the facts. Your friends problems with her new LL may have started with the previous LL who may have alerted the new LL. You may want to ask her her she behaved during the showing of the apartment. I know that when I first purchased my building, most of my tenants resented the fact that some guy out of nowhere was suddenly telling them what they could and couldn't do. Those that gave me a hard time are gone and the ones that where civil and willing to work with me are still here.
Raising the rent to an unaffordable range is my favorite technique of getting rid of PITA tenants.
I find it funny that people talk about landlord greed when it comes to renting, but never question the price of let's say a new car and attach the “greed” factor.

At least, you didn't call it pleonexia.

There is need, then there is desire, then there is greed, and then there is pleonexia. ;)

Criteria for senior member would be inordinate amount of spare time and ability to utilize it by posting on a site. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with that, its just an observation.

Speak for yourself, son. Your generalizations don't fit me, and don't fit many of my friends.

You are being targeted for having the audacity to reply with the same contempt you have been shown. There are some senior members here that wear their numbers like badges of honor. It doesn't help that you're a landlord. Word of advice, if you have any more problems with your tenants, go to a landlord website. PM me if you would like. It would not be right to steer you from this site to another.

No relevance here

What is the use of all these above referenced posts, the person in question is a friend of mine, not my tenant.

If I may say so myself, that tenant left w/o any litigation and I presently have a respectable tenant living there. Not all tenants are crooks, you know. There is a term for that, conflict resolution w/o waisting time and $$ in the court system. Unless it becomes imperative to do so.

Sorry to disappoint you YAG...
