Hi, I have a question whether this company is breaking any laws. I bought an item on March 29, 2010 from this company, received an email on April 1st that the item was processed. I received another email on April 5th that the item has been shipped. I contacted support asking for a tracking information and they responded: "Unfortunately we do not have a tracking number for this item, but it was shipped April2nd via USPS, so it should be arriving shortly!" After 10 days of still not receiving the item I contacted their support via email. They told me that the item had a delivery estimate of April 8th - April 23rd. Are they breaking any laws here? I still don't have my item! It's almost a month! The item is a blu-ray dvd and the company uses amazon to buy the item and send it to customers as a gift (the item is in stock).

Not sure what laws you believe might be being broken but the only thing that might come in to play is the shipping time. I would have to research but I seem to recall a requirement that if the product cannot be shipped within some specific period of time, they must contact you and allow for a rescission of the sale. If it is what I recall, you have not waited long enough yet. 6 weeks comes to mind for some reason.

Other than that possibility, did you have something else in mind.

I both buy and sell on Amazon and the timeframe quoted is standard. An item like that would have gone out First Class and should have got to you by now, but sometimes things get "stuck" in the mail system. I've had first class mail turn up a month later.

At this point, i would just wait. If they ordered it from Amazon, then they can tell Amazon it never showed and Amazon will send a replacement. But you need to wait for the time period to expire.

Worst case senario, you do a credit card dispute.
