A boy I know was encouraged to purchase a car from his boss. his boss deducted payments from his pay. now the boy has been kicked out of his home and his boss wont let him have the car. he has paid for over half of it. He has tried to get his boss to tell him how much he still owes but his boss just puts him off. (He also paid the boy under the table so there is no official record of how much was made or paid out) The title is in both of their names. Who owns the car?

Does the boy have a right to the car or not. he needs the car for transportaion. he is not related to me but i am currently helping to support him so that he will finish his last year of high school.If he cant get his car back does he have the right to some of the money that he has paid on it. This amounts to over 5 thousand dollars. Please give me an answer that actually helps or dont bother to answer at all
