What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado
Hi there To start out with im only 16 years old and don't know much about law and could really use Your help, So lets start with my situation.
I Was currently Trading world of war craft accounts online.
So i traded someone accounts Which to start with is Against WoW's policy which I do realize, However after trading a Man for 2 accounts i decided i only liked One. So I Sold the Other account to a man for 70$ worth of in game currency About two weeks later i receive an Instant message Via Aim.
That says the world of war craft account i sold for the 70$ worth of currency Has been taken back by the original owner. So Being the nice guy i was i tried investigating the situation Then the account I had kept had been recalled as well so of course There is a "scammer" thread on the site so the man that traded me the 70$ for the account posted a thread about the man that recalled the accounts from our possession, About an hour later we receive a response that I am responsible for the 70$ reimburse ment and I am only 16 and don't have a steady income and its hard times. So I say I need compensation from the man who traded me the 2 accounts so i receive one account. And Then about a week later i found out they want me to give the guy 100$ So im even in a deeper whole. hopefully thats enough about that.
I have neglected to pay the 100$ but i am working with my step dad to try and pay him back... However now the site is Threatening to file a police report on the matter and IP ban me from the site, I'm not so worried about the ban just the law stepping in, However if this Site Runs A online buy/sell/trade forum that obliviously breaks blizzard TOS would they really file something with the law when they obliviously could get in a lot more trouble, I may be mistaken but would it be worth it for them?
Sorry this may be hard to understand but please anything helps!
Thanks.
