What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? TEXAS
i live in texas. i bought a horse i saw online in oklahoma. the only proof i have is the bank papers where i transferred money and the internet sites where the woman thanked me for purchasing the horse.
she has denied letting me have this horse hauled 3 times with the reason that the horse needs more work done with it. it has been 2 wks.
she's offered the money back, but i want the horse. in the mean time, she has both the horse and the money. the horse is on her property
what legal rights do i have to get this horse?

You have the same legal rights as any other buyer. Show up with your trailer and pick up your property. If she refuses, then you can pursue your 'breach of contract' in HER local court.

thank you for the reply.
her farm is fenced and gated. if i hire a hauler to show up there and he has a copy of my papers from the bank (Only showing a money transfer, nothing on it about a horse) and the copies of the sites showing that the horse is sold to me, can he pick the horse up off her property?
she has offered to give me my money, but i want the horse!!

Of course no one can answer your questions without actually READING what documents you have to the purchase.... but 'what you want' really has little to do with this.

The issue is a simple contract matter. You claim to have purchased 'goods'. Whether your paperwork is sufficient to show another (sheriff, etc.) that the purchase is valid is entirely up to you... and YOUR due diligence as to the purchase.
Sometimes you have to just 'accept life' and agree to the refund and walk away. That choice is yours.

No smart person ever buys an animal online. You have no way of knowing that she isn't delaying sending the horse while the animal recovers from an illness or a disease that could affect other horses you have.

Get the money back. Your instinct should tell you that something's very wrong with this deal.
