What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Wisconsin...company is in California...
My credit card was recently charged $125 for a purchase online that I did not make. While my bank and the company involved worked quickly to refund my money, I am quite aggravated with the company. It is a gaming company, that offers online game credits for money. When asked about the situation, for the criminals information, so I could press charges, or at the very least confront them about this, they said it would be in violation of there gamers privacy, and that the action they were taking was to have a suspension period, and then reset them to level one of this game.
What legal recourse do I have to get the information on this person who violated my privacy so I can press charges if necessary, and can I file charges against the company for there lack of support in this manner?
Why is it that they are protecting this criminals rights over mine?
