I live in AZ, I worked as a contractor for a company in CO for about a month. They did not want to pay me, I filed a small claim and I got the paper from the court saying that "Judgment is entered upon default (Checked) and It's ordered granting judgment to Plantiff (Checked)". Now, how do I get my money? how soon can I get it? Please advice. Thank you for you help.

What did the court say? I think you have to have the judgment served on the employer. And you may need a process server, collection agent or attorney.

Thank you for your advice.
I filed a small claim, had a process server to serve them and filed deficit of default. Now i got the paper from the court saying that " The judgment is entered up on default and it's ordered granting judment to the Plantiff"... The company is still in business and they still don't seem like they want to pay me. After all the hassles and ruling from the court ... I'm still at square one, So does the court mean nothing then?

You still haven't told us what the court said when you called and asked how to get your money now that judgment's been granted in your favour.

I just called the court and they told me to go to the superior court website to read it. I found that either I have to go to a collection agency or do a Garnishment. Any idea of how Garnishment work? the total case is about $1k.

"Garnishment" means that an employer is ordered by a court to take sums out of an employee's wages and send those sums to the plaintiff. The services of an attorney are required to obtain a court order for a garnishment. However, since the defendant in this case is an employer, not an employee, then a garnishment won't work.

You need to go the collection agency route. Find one, talk to them, and decide if you want to engage their services.

So, I hired a collector agency and the agency told me that there're 2 other people also having the same problem with this same X company. After a month, the agency could not do anything. Whats the next step can I do to get my pay check? Please advice. Also, I'd like to write a letter to all the partner companies to say how we got tricked by this X company. Is it legal to do so? Thank you
