Thanks for your advice But do remember even with best protection, things do happen. Banks get robbed, flights get hijacked with best securities in place.

sounds like you need to just stay home, pull the curtains and lock the doors and windows. You seem to have an excuse for everything and for some reason, it never involves your failure to act properly given the situation.

Either that, or I position myself next to a wall with the bag between my leg and the wall.

How should have I acted ? You probably have never been a victim of crime. Good for you . But everyday thousands of people are victim of such petty crimes.
As I said, you need to come out of your cocoon and learn about rest of the world.

I have wasted enough time trying to educate you on how crime happen. But anyway, my insurance have just sent me a claim form to list the valuables. I will update you when I get the money from insurance.

if it is so horrible and likely (as you have suggested several times), your failure to act appropriately does then make it your fault. Would you jump into an area of water known to be infested with sharks and attacks from them and blame the sharks for biting you? Sure the did the actual biting but a smart person would have avoided jumping into the water or would have properly protected themselves. That is where it becomes your fault.

so, don't carry a purse. don't carry cash. if you carry a purse, carry one that has a reinforced strap that cannot be easily cut. If you must carry cash, carry it on your person. They make money belts, money underwear, wallets that strap onto your leg, Hell, follow the methods of the drug mules and stick it up your butt if it is so likely your will have something stolen from you.

When a person walks in front of a car and gets hit, it's really hard to blame the driver, even if he was drunk.

I wonder if you ever buy insurance ... any type. I mean a person as careful as you will never need an insurance . Good for you.
But guess what, insurance companies exist because people sometimes fault. For example, even the best driver can sometime hit another car and then insurance comes handy.

I have to. As I said earlier, most crime happen because of some lapse on victim's (or some one other then the criminal) side. For example, a plane is hijacked because some security person was not smart enough.
And yes, I have to agree that for those few minutes I was not smart enough.
