What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? NJ

Hello .. my mother is on permanent disability due to a heart condition and in the past she had a credit card that got away from her and ultimately there was a judgement. She was on an automated payment plan that stopped a couple of months ago but we are not sure why. She did not initiate the stop. I help her out with these issues as the stress is too much for her.

The company that owns the debt has now for the THIRD time in the past 4 years has seized her bank account. The last 2 times they returned the money because disability and SS money are untouchable. I know they will again this time once I can speak with someone there but each time she is out the banking fees and that is money she does not have.

The question is if I have any additional recourse against this company for knowingly taking money they know they can not lawfully keep.

Thanks
Ben
