What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oklahoma

Hey,

So pretty much me and my roommate had a despite, I was living in his house and one day he randomly changed the locks of the place. He claims I stole $70 from him, which I didnt, I offered to pay the 70 to get my things and apparently that was admitting guilt (to him at least, i didnt steal from him). Anyway this was over a month ago, I've tried numerous attempts to get my things back from the house but he's denied me the chance. Now randomly he sent me a text saying that I have until the end of the day to get my stuff before he throws it all away. There's like over $3000 worth of items over there.....and there's no way I can get it today. What can/should I do?

How long ago did he illegally evict you? Why did you leave without your stuff?

Ok well at that time, at the time he came into your room, you should have called the police.

You should have called the police when he locked you out, and you should have called the police when you found he had touched your belongings. because he had no right to do any of that.

But since you did not do any of that you really should go get your stuff ASAP.

Since you did none of that you cannot win a case of illegal eviction where he would have had to pay the expenses you paid to have somewhere to go, and the means to remove your stuff.

If you find any of your stuff is stolen, lost or destroyed, try to gather proof that you had the item, and the roommate damaged it himself or by leaving it outside, then you might win a suit against him for that.
