What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FLORIDA

I'm 17 years old, he hasn't paid child support in 7 years.
I haven't spoken to him in over a month.
I live with my mother whom pays for everything, medical, etc.
I remember many years ago when he was paying child support and I would see him every other weekend..They had joint custody I believe but my mother had more say.
Thanks

If they have joint custody, then your father also has custody of you.

However, you need to distinguish between joint LEGAL custody and physical custody. To answer any specific questions you might have, we'd need to know the details in the divorce decree or custody agreement.

One thing that you need to get out of your head - failure to pay support can not prevent someone from spending time with their kids. Court ordered visitation or custody is NOT dependent on paying support.

What specifically is your concern?

if he has any kind of legal custody (which he probably does as it is common) he does have the right to state who can have contact with you since you are under 18

I posted a few threads (by accident) titled "How to see the father of my unborn child"
Thanks
how exactly did you post them "by accident" when they were each titled differently and at seperate times? anyway...

You are trying to find a way to see your boyfriend who violated his probation and is forbidden to see you until 2012. Why is boyfriend on probation? And I may be wrong but I think there is more to the story as to why he cannot see you until 2012, you say you are 17 and that would mean you would be approx. 19 in 2012 (given when your b-day is) so your dad would no longer be able to have a say in who you can be with. Which leads me to believe that there is more to it than just your dad calling b/f's PO.

And, it's not Dad who's keeping you from seeing the BF. It's the court. What part of "it's illegal for you to see him" don't you understand? If he violates parole again, he could be in jail for a long, long time. Is that what you do to people you supposedly love?

Geez. Talk about a misleading post to start a thread.

Additionally, your Dad paying (or not) support is your mother's business - not yours. YOUR business is to do what the court has ordered. Or your Mom gets in trouble. In the meantime, go back to your room until you're ready to do as you're told.
