last night i did a favor for a friend and bought him beer (who is a minor) i got the beer and was walking out and cop drove thru the parking lot and saw me coming out of the gas station i with the beer. he stop me and ask if i was buying for him i said yes and was truthful 100% with the cop, he gave me a ticket for 25658(a) and let me go on my way.
my question is what will be the penalties for my action for a first time offense with 25658(a)

Here's what I found:

BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONS CODE SECTION 25658. (a) Except as otherwise provided in subdivision (c), every person who sells, furnishes, gives, or causes to be sold, furnished, or given away, any alcoholic beverage to any person under the age of 21 years is guilty of a misdemeanor.​

Pursuant to subparagraph (2) of subsection (e) of 25658:

(2) Except as provided in paragraph (3), any person who violates subdivision (a) by furnishing an alcoholic beverage, or causing an alcoholic beverage to be furnished, to a minor shall be punished by a fine of one thousand dollars ($1,000), no part of which shall be suspended, and the person shall be required to perform not less than 24 hours of community service during hours when the person is not employed and is not attending school.​

The $1000 fine you see up there is the BASE FINE. According to the California Uniform Bail Schedule and after adding the penalties and assessments, it comes out to approximately $3860.
