Oh good Lord, you've GOT to be kidding me!!!!!!!! How has this not been thrown out of court as a frivolous law suit?????????

Oh for the love of all that is holy. These kids are complaining that they grew up without their father around. Okay, I get it. But how is MONEY going to fill that void? Oh yeah...IT ISN'T! Hey, instead of suing your Dad, how about getting to know him and making up for lost time?

How much you want to bet that this case ends up getting settled?..no matter how ridiculous it is.

Sigh...unfortunately, I think you're right. It will get settled and we simply have two more greedy little wretches who think the world (well..Daddy, more specifically) owes them a living.

Goodness gracious me. I'm horrified!

Not to mention that even if money COULD fill that void, they already received over $10 M in child support.

I don't know. They may have pi$$ed Dad off enough for him to fight it - and write them out of his will. At least, I hope so.

In fact, I might just offer to let him adopt me instead. I'll never complain about how much he gives me. :D

....and let just say that Dad had been in thier lives as they grew up.....these kids would still be suing for the "pain and hardships suffered as result of the stigma of divorce. Oh, oh, oh, Your Honor, it was so hard being driven from mom's multi-million dollar home to dad's for his weeks."

Maybe, but my guess is that he won't want any more publicity than is already out there.

Nah. The stigma of illegitimacy, maybe. According to the article, "Their mother, Jennifer Gold, is the billionaire's ex-girlfriend."

Also from the article:
"Christie Bren acknowledged she never lacked for material things growing up in Beverly Hills but felt sad and abandoned because of her father's absence.

Her brother said his friends had their fathers around them and he did not.

"I had a lot of anger in me," he said. "I just felt like I was missing out on something I didn't really understand."

I have two adult-half siblings whose father was absent for most of their childhoods: he was a Type II diabetic who died at age 33. I'm sure my brother and sister felt sad, abandoned and at times angry. Whom can they sue?

No one of course, but their dad didn't abandon them either.

Of course I think this case is ridiculous, but I still think its going to settle because there will be enough people out there who will sympathize with the adult children, misplaced sympathy though it will be, that its likely that dad will just want it to go away.

A good friend of mine died when his baby was 2 months old. I wish she could sue god for taking her daddy from her. Sadly, no one has figured out how to serve him/her/it yet. Maybe by the time she's 18.

oops....

Now I get to look forward to this one...Maybe I should suggest it to my 10-year-old in eight years. (If her father still has no interest in seeing her then too....)

::Sigh::
