What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Colorado

Hello, I've just begun my junior year of high school. One year ago, I received an MIP ticket. However, I took a diversion program and it technically isn't on my record anymore. When I apply for colleges and such, is it safe for me to check the box saying that I haven't received any such tickets? Do they see the diversion program on my record?

Thanks in advance :)

I would like to see a college application that asks about your arrest record.

You can honestly answer questions about CONVICTIONS as "No"

Indeed most apps do not even deal with a simple ticket, unless the matter was a misdemeanor or felony, and again you were not convicted...

If in doubt ask the admissions counselor how to answer in your circumstances.

Thank you!

One more thing, if I were to go to the court and ask to see my record, would I see the same thing that employers and colleges see when they ask to review a record?

It is an easy thing to run a background check on yourself.

BUTTTTT

Never lie.

Don't lie

It is ok to say you were not convicted or have no convictions.

It is okay to say you were never arrested for a felony

It is ok to say you were never arrested for a misdemenor

It is dishonest to say you were never arrested if you were? Were you arrested?

If yes, then answer "I was arrested and the case was dismissed by the prosecutor"

I think you have seen too many movies - a juvenile Colorado MIP appearance ticket is not going to ruin your life.
