What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Hi i live in Florida. My step son was being bullied on the bus. They were telling him to bring liquar on the bus and if he didnt they were going to have him beat up. So he was scared and did what they said. When I contacted the school about what was being done they kicked him out of school for 10 days and the other kids only got a few days. my step son has been bullied since last year and his school is doing nothing about it. what can i do to make sure he doesnt get hurt.

these laws were made to protect the children and when the other kids that are beating up and hurting other kids see nothing is being done they keep doing this, and its only going to get worse

You are correct about the laws protecting children, that is why your stepson was suspended for as long as he was. He brought alcohol to school ~ that is a punishable offense. He should have spoke to his parent, or a school official.

If your step son feels bullied he should report it to his parent each time. His parent should then inform the school. His parent should also file a report with the police as well.

I don't see anything about anyone being beat up. A THREAT is not the same thing.

Report bullying to the school or police. That makes more sense than engaging in criminal activity just because some kids on the bus asked you to.

Your other issue is that you are a STEP PARENT and NOT a legal guardian. Either his mother or father should be handling this as it is their responsibility and the school does not necessarily have to cooperate with you.
