What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL

Are video recordings admissible as evidence in court? My x-violated her supervised visits. I have video recordings of the pickup where she was clearly alone and unsupervised. She even defiantly made a statement that totally undermined the court's authority and orders.

I have filed for a motion to find her in contempt and I intend to use this as evidence to show pattern of defiance to the courts and if she even attempts to lie and bring fake witnesses, then I could use the video to protect myself and support my case.

The video was taken in public, on the street with clear images of the street, sidewalk, stop sign and construction cones. I had my iphone on my hand with the tape rolling.

BTW, video is clear, unedited and is in high definition. I wa thinking of finding a place that can legally authenticate the videos before we go to trial in December.

I've only briefly gone through your post history.

I have to ask though - what exactly do you want to accomplish?

For her to be found in contempt for violating the order. Indirect civil contempt will not deter this woman from being the PITA that she is so I'm researching how I could make this an indirect criminal contempt. I have her on video clearly defying and undermining the courts.

What do you want to happen?

Look, there's a reason for my question.

She currently has supervised visitation, correct?

So...are you trying to have visitation removed completely?

Have her imprisoned?

What's your end goal?
