What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan

Hello. Following an evidentiary hearing regarding reimbursement of childcare expenses in August the referree's recommendation was that my ex-husband pay me the amount sought. Ex-husband appealed and the judge held the referee's recommendation, ordering my ex to pay. It's been 35 days since the judge ordered him to pay with no payment received. I'm self represented and need to know what form (or motion) I need to file to have the judges order enforced.

Thanks in advance for your assistance, and as always it is much appreciated. What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Does the court order give a timeline?

If not, I'm not sure that 35 days is enough to get worked up over. Eventually, you'll file a motion to show cause, but I'd wait a while.

No timeline in court order. I figured I would wait 30 days for payment (time set by referee in her recommendation). How much longer should I wait?

How much money are we talking about? And have you reminded ex that it's due?

Personally, I would wait a couple of weeks and then send a certified letter saying that if I haven't received the money by xxx date (3-4 weeks in the future) that I will be filing for contempt.

Just under $1,200 (not near as much as some on this site are owed but a small fortune to me!) And yes, two weeks ago I reminded the ex that it was due. I'll wait another week or two and send him a certified letter as suggested.

Thank you very much mistoffolees, your sound advice is always appreciated.
