I have common sense... i thought this was a place for LEGAL ADVICE .... I was hoping to gain LEGAL knowledge, not to communicate with asses like you trying to belittle me and make a joke out of the matters at hand...

Please. Seek. Local. Counsel.

And Please. Consider. Contacting. Local. Law. Enforcement.

Seriously - if your story is true, you need far more help than can be gained from a message forum (even one as wonderful as this).

Good day, Ma'am.

Thank you for the first genuine response this morning. You could have given that opinion from the beginning instead of trying to upset me more than i already am dealing with this situation. No need to be rude and sarcastic about anyones problems.

Here's the problem with your legal question (that being, what can I do?): you've already done it. Unless, there is more you are trying to accomplish? Are you trying to get the person arrested (file a police report?). Are you trying to get money out of them (sue them, but that likely won't work out quite the way you want)? What is it you wish to get out of this situation in which you feel you need legal advice?

Has it occurred that all of this is done once the results of the DNA test are revealed and the child doesn't share DNA with either adult tested?

guys,

OP is a troll. Has to be.

If they show up in court with someone else's baby, they are committing fraud.

here is what should happen. Mom never let's godmother near the child again.

Judge tells godmother to get a DNA test. Godmother can't because Mom won't let her near the baby.

End of story.

Forging a birth certificate? You do realize that the year isn't 1945 and such a document isn't just a paper you get when the baby is born?

Mom, if you don't give her any more access to the child, this goes away....or, even better, have you thought about contact the "father" that is being dragged into court for support? Think HE would want to know?

Now, if the "father's" DNA DOES match the child's (you naughty, you) then you have a different set of problems.

Why does this woman still have access to your child? How much access to the child does this woman have?

How is it that this 'godmother', could have had so much access to your child over the course of the last year?

Did she have temporary or longterm custody while you were out of town? A lot of shortterm watch/daycare the baby every day?

What do you think her motive is for doing this?

Trust me- this is all still surreal to me at this point.... they have a court date on dec 21st so im ignoring her at the moment and plan on showing up at the court date. The reasoning for the courtdate is that the orig dna results were inconclusive and possibly tampered with IMAGINE THAT..... But yes her former godmother Juanita has my daughter Broolynne in court proceedings to determine custody btwn her and this man. I feel like im on a lifetime movie.
She somehow created a fake birth certificate and gave her the name moriah. Which obviously can be proven fraudulent but this alter life she created she did her researched and knows what she was doing..... She just wasnt prepared for this to be such a small world
Jaysus. Seriously? My first thought was - Moriah is a heck of a lot better than Broolynne. THAT is a lifetime movie. Broolynne. REALLY? I'm speechless.

As a person with an odd name AND children with odd names.....I take offense. People may name their children as they please and it has no legal relevance to the question that was asked.

oh, no offense. broolyne looks very weird, but it probably sounds very nice.

Then let us stick to the legal question that was asked. It is pointless to make fun of the OP for the name(s) of the child in question. I have been following this thread because I don't know the answer and am curious as to the answer myself. I have heard of a case where there was NO child and until the "mother" was forced to produce a child for a test, she attempted to get one. I don't remember the outcome of that case. Perhaps I will search for it.

Oh, come on, Rushia. OP got plenty of reasonable, legally relevant input.
It was beneath you to go to picking on the names. What right do you have to do that? What sounds odd to you, might sound beautiful to another. Most members of this forum are quick to point out that this is a LEGAL forum, let's stick to that.
