It was beneath you to go to picking on the names. What right do you have to do that? What sounds odd to you, might sound beautiful to another. Most members of this forum are quick to point out that this is a LEGAL forum, let's stick to that.
Lighten up.

I realize that a nerve was touched, but to berate members of the forum for a personal crusade is a waste of everyone's time.

I don't give a good green goose poop if you named your kid Jesus Hitler Christ Manson. The name game is your (and your children's) issue... apparently.

People are allowed to express their like or dislike with you taking it as a personal affront.

Did you look up the name that I gave? It does happen. It happened within the last 10 years. While it is odd, it's not impossible. Don't be so quick to call troll. Now as to the rest of your claim about me, yes I take offense at the name part BUT we as members of this forum are quick to point out that this is a LEGAL forum and as such should stick to that. Practice what we preach. It is why I have mostly lurked within the forum. Tired of the "mob" mentality.

Before calling it troll, think of it this way:

You have a BFF who volunteers to care for your child so that you can have some time off.
You don't think much of it other than it's nice to have some time off.
BFF uses that time to create a charade for her reasons.
BFF is now caught.

If it were me, I would contact the "dad" and let him know that there is a problem in Houston. I probably would show up in court with the birth certificate and see how it all pans out.

You are right.

One instance out of millions is definitely a case of precedent.

I am sure that lightning has struck a Baptist preacher playing the 17th at Augusta on the Fourth of July as well.

I will put out the word that no one should ever again play golf.

Then get over it.

YOU decided to name your children something creative and inventive. That speaks to your character and sense of self.

You cannot do something DESIGNED to get people to notice you and then get upset when you are noticed... if you aren't noticed in the way you want.

Norman Lear named his girl "Crystal Shanda".
I knew a guy in college named "Kelly Green".
I grew up with a guy named "William Willamson".

You decided to be creative. I applaud that. Dali was creative, too. I think some of his paintings suck.

If you can't handle the criticism, you should'a gone with "Bob" or "Sally". Getting defensive isn't a mature way to handle the situation.

I don't think I've ever said that. <shrug> Sorry, but I'm not a fan of cre8tif names or spellings. If you are, that's fine.

And attacking me on my opinion is mature? It was OK for Stealth and Banned Princess to offer their opinion but not for me? See below, Stealth's quote? She chose to focus on my main complaint. Apparently while she understands that the name part bothered me, she responded to the legal part first.

I don't think I've ever said that. <shrug> Sorry, but I'm not a fan of cre8tif names or spellings. If you are, that's fine.
I understand that, but thank you for understanding my main complaint.

I did not attack. On the contrary, I applauded your creativity.

The only thing that could get CLOSE to an attack was when I said that you used your creativity to get your children attention... but that you can't demand that the only attention your creativity gathers is positive.

And yes, that was overly defensive on your part.

No one said a word about YOUR choices... you decided to hijack the thread ... and hijacking is exactly what it was... to insert YOUR opinions on creative children names.

If you wish to start this discussion, do so. You have the right. Here is not the right place.

Thank you for making my point. Sigh....LOL

Rushia is not a weird name. In fact it is a rather pretty name.
Now this IS a hijack (sorry OP). Hello Mr. Darcy, my old friend! You were missed!
