What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Florida
Last night about 12:20 Am I had to stop for gas cause I was getting a little low. After passing about 3 or 4 other stations cause I was looking for the cheapest I could find I decided to stop in at a Sunoco where the advertised price for fuel was 2.93. I pull to the pump, go inside to pay, come back out and start pumping fuel. As I'm pumping I notice the price on the pump is 3.03 a gallon...not the 2.93 as advertised on there enormous sign. I Instantly stop pumping my fuel and stop at $1.43 dollars worth.....I then go inside to talk to the cashier about the problem and tell him that my pump stats $3.03 a gallon...but your sign says $2.93 a gallon. Not only that..the pump right beside me to my left and the pump on the other side of my pump stated $2.98 a gallon. So we had 3 different prices. I asked the man if they could refund me the difference between the $2.93 they had advertised and the $3.03 I was paying. He said no...because that is the new price but they haven't changed the sign yet. Then I pointed out that a few of the other pumps said $2.98 and asked him why that was...How can some pumps be $3.03 and the others be $2.98. He really couldn't give me a answer and continued to decline a refund for the difference. Then I asked him if he could refund me the remaining of my money I haven't yet used for fuel. Again he refused. I had only put in $3.00 dollars for fuel since I forgot my wallet and that was all I had on me. I usually wouldnt make a fuss over something like this, but these cashiers were very unprofessional and not nice at all. Also I dont think this makes a difference but they were of Arab descent and I believe owned the place. Anyway...does anyone think I have a case. Its just really about principal.
