Ok so this post is a question regarding visitation as well as a follow to my original post, which has been closed and I can not open it. But here is the thread :

Update:
went to temp order hearing. I got what I wanted. Our attorneys "duked it out" before we saw the judge and we were able to come to an agreement.

I proposed to her a 50/50 visitation schedule and that NO PRIMARY PARENT would be named and I told her I would either pay for her apartment OR pay for 100% of day care while the temp orders were in place. At first she said hell no and wanted to take her chances with the judge, but her layer told her she would be stupid not to take this. So she took it. So now our child will get to see both parents everyday. I will take to day care everyday and mom will pick her up. Worked out great. I am paying for her apartment and she (well her mom ) is paying for daycare.

Even her lawyer told us that we probably would have won me primary if we had left it up to the judge, but what was the point of dragging this out. We needed 50/50, thats best for the child ... Final orders are set for sometime in April.

Ok my question :

Visitation is um, a little confusing so I will explain it then my question will be at the end.

I get 1st, 3rd and 5th weekend. Starting Thursday night and ending monday morning. ie ( i get child from daycare thursday afternoon and then drop her off monday morning ).

On the weekends that I DO NOT have the child I get the child wed night and thursday night.

So here is my questions.

On the months that I end up getting to have the child the 5th weekend, does that mean I get the child the next weekend as well, since the weekend following the 5th weekend would be the first weekend of the next month ?

(the weekend starts on friday)

thanks ...

Yes, when a fifth weekend happens (which is not often) you would have the child two weekends in a row, which messes up the Wednesday/Thursday on the "off" weeks, because you would have two "on" weeks in a row.

Personally, I think that when you are dealing with a 50/50 schedule like yours, you should forget the whole 1st, 3rd and 5th weekend bit and just go every other weekend.

it does

yes the weekend starts on the friday .. so i get the 1st, 3rd, and 5th weekend with the friday being the start of the weekend.

thanks for your reply i was confused about that one part ...

that would things allot easier. I basically lucked out that they did not catch that when we read the orders to the judge.
