I am reading a February 2006 Counter petition for divorce, the counter petitioner claims she was coinciding the filing with a protective order. Claiming family violence and domestic abuse.

I have read all court related documents, and found no other application of this. There is a later clarification that the counter petitioner requests a counseling or domestic abuse/ family violence treatment before the petitioner can visit with his child.

I realize this woman may have made claims out of anger.

Start with the court records. Contact the county clerk to search for the protective order.

If a protective order was issued, the restrained party would have been served. It should also be part of a court record. It is possible for it to be filed and not served yet if they do not know where the restrained party lives or works, or if he or she is far out of the area. Contact the court and find out if such an order was issued.
