hi i live in sacramento california . i have a question i am trying to pay the court ordered fine i need to pay but have been out of work for nearly a year and am trying to enter the military so i need to get this paid off . i was wondering if there was a way i can contact the courts and work this fine off or if i will just have to go to jail and sit this out . economy has been rough and no one is hiring and i know the courts wont care becase they just want there money but any advice would be helpful thank you

You can try to ASK for some community service instead of fine. sometimes it works, sometimes not, but you can hope for the best.

"economy has been rough and no one is hiring" - it is not an excuse. Walmart have a 28 open positions in Sacramento today.
