Alright then, thanks everyone for the quick responses. I suppose I'll be looking for an attorney in that case.

Again, thank you

I believe that 17 yrs old is the age of consent in IL, IN, and WI .. so feel free to travel about. And it is your responsibility to insure the age .. it does not matter what she says.

An 18 yr old cannot find another 18 yr old or + girl? You are not trying young man.

Psst...age of consent for intercourse matters NOT when it comes to the parents wanting no contact with their minor child.

At the end of the day, the parents may be willing to drop the matter if you agree to stay away from their daughter.

And I'd avoid any mention of their concerns/filing being frivolous. Although I would love to see the reaction of the judge when you tell him that the parents are being frivolous for objecting to your sticking your fingers in their daughter's hoo-ha.

It doesn't matter a damn what the age of consent is. The age of majority is 18. Therefore, until her 18th birthday, what Mom and Dad say goes. Regardless of the age of consent, she is still a minor until the age of majority, and the law is NOT going to force her parents to allow their minor child to have contact with someone they don't want her to have contact with.

Also the restraining order is NOT based on sexual penetration but rather the fact that he is apparently taking sexual liberties and making sexual advances. For those two things, sexual penetration IS NOT required.
