feeling trapped-some1 plz help with answers

and yea there have been many times when ive had to carry my son around because i dont have a car but that time it was starting to get dark and in september it had already started to get cold. He was 2 mon at the time and i didnt want to walk with my son IN THE DARK AND COLD AND UP HILLS- with him being 2 mon. there is a difference during the day- the sun makes it warmer. i think back everyday wishing i was able to just walk with him that day instead of leaving him @ home with that person, but i made a judgement call. it was a bad 1 and ill admit it. (and for all those "grammar" people and correct puncuation - please forgive me for how i typed this response- im holding my son while doing it.)

Is your grammar good enough to write a motion to get yourself in front of a judge asking for an order to allow independent drug testing, since that seems to be the main obstacle at the moment?

Yea, my grammar is good enough to do that. I didnt know you could do that or exactly what that all entails. ive never been in trouble before, i never had anything but a traffic stop before so all of this is new and scary to me. i have nothing on my background and have never been to court before so i dont know alot about iowa legal system and their laws. So, how would i go about doing that? just write the judge thats on my case?

and no updates yet, nellie. i've always had my baby. they took him for a week and gave him back because i didnt do it personally and never gave them a reason to think i couldnt take care of my son. they originally took him cuz i was in a town where i had no family or friends to take him to when it first happened. i just want to take my baby out of the situation- 1.) because i have never done cocaine before in my life(and i stopped smoking marijuana before my son was born,) but its my word against theirs. 2.) because the week he was in foster care he got a rash from the top of his forehead to the bottom of his chin. No one can take better care of my son but me and if i have to TEMPORARILY give guardianship to anyone then it would be my family- NOT a foster person. i have no problem dealing with this situation and whatever it is they want me to do, i just want to make sure my son is well taken care of. Im really not a bad person or a bad mother. i just got caught up in some nonsense.

No, you can't write a letter. You have to file a motion. Do you have a "lawyer of the day" you can speak to at your local courthouse, or is there any other way you might consult with an attorney?
