Another question:
I had my hearing last week. Judge was prepared to issue a 3 year restraining order, but my ex was contesting it. He then begged the judge to lift the TRO because it was (according to my ex) a violation of his civil rights and he needs to be able to "gather evidence" against me to use in our custody case. He said the restraining order prohibits him from doing that, so he wanted it lifted. Judge said no.
My ex then requested a trial.....so the judge gave us a new court date. The TRO is still in effect. I had to fill out a "restraining order after hearing form" and the judge signed it. Does this have to be served on my ex too?
