What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan. I have recently been placed on probation. My first report date is scheduled less than 30 days after initially being put on probation. When you agreed to the sentence of probation ,you agreed to probation's stipulations then and there ,not 2 days later ,not 10 days later , not 2 weeks later , not 29 or 30 or 31 days later .

^Agreed^... Though in most cases, the probation officer MAY over look the results of the first test for the same reason you're inquiring about. It may also depend on what they're testing for (what drug) and the specific circumstances of your case.
