Why would someone who can make $16,000 in a couple of hours need to troll the internet for legal advice?

You don't want to move closer to your daughter, you don't want to buy a place in Texas to use on your parenting time, you don't want to spend the night in Texas with her. YOU YOU YOU.

Fine, whatever. But I notice that you never seem to respond to this one simple fact and piece of advice. THE COURT ORDER tells you what you must do. THAT is why you can't just decide to bring her back later or keep her longer. So, you either do what the order says, or spend some of that money to have it modified. All the money in the world doesn't give you right to defy the court order. If you are as rich as you say are, you must have one or two functioning brain cells. WHAT do you not understand?

@fry - he lives in TX and visits CA to get duaghter home, albeit not on time

So ogdad, you think that allowing daughter to miss a couple of hours of school every other week is not going to cost her? When she starts to believe she has the right to be late to whatever she darn well pleases it will affect her. It may already be affecting her socially.

Sorry, I reversed the states:eek::D

But I think the rest was pretty accurate. He's all about HIM HIM HIM, and he can't seem to grasp that being rich doesn't mean he gets to play fast and loose with the court order. And someone as rich (supposedly) and argumentative and confrontational (definitely) as he is shouldn't mind shelling out the bucks to GO TO COURT AND GET IT CHANGED since he's not willing to inconvenience HIMSELF for his child!

You know, you people are so judgmental. Unless you walk a mile, or at least 100 feet in my shoes, you'll never know.

Fact is, I did maintain a condo in CA (to the tune of $4,000 per month) less than a mile from the former family home, in addition to my places in Texas and Florida.

Come to find out my ex broke into my condo numerous times when I was out of town. Now I can presume that many of you on this forum are female. Let me just say, my ex is a disgrace to your sex. For the men out there, beware the damsel in distress with an AK-47 under her dress.

As visitation started going well, the floor fell out.

First my ex claims in family court that I have abused her. I had the pictures of the damage done to me from HER and judge threw it out.

Then she claims I'm a raging alcoholic and can't care for our child. I agree to remote breath alcohol testing immediately before, during and after visitation. $400 per month! Test results- 100% negative. OK, that's now gone.

Then during an exchange after taking child on a cruise, she calls the police and says I hit her! Charges were dropped but only after getting arrested, spending about 4 hours in jail, $7500 on an attorney and $4000 in bail.

After my arrest, I made my primary residence in Texas on the advice of my attorneys. Mind you, during this period until the case was closed, I did not get to see my child.

My attorneys also warned me of what would happen next... and they were right.

My ex later accused me of sexually molesting my child. In fact, I told my ex to take our child to the doctor when we arrived in CA as our child complained of pain when urinating. Ex made a complaint, doctor had to report, but CPS didn't open a file due to the doctor's report. Also a fact, the ex didn't tell me the outcome of the doctor visit. I had to call the doctor and was told nothing was wrong.

After it didn't work in CA, she calls Texas CPS. I get a knock on the door one day, sit down with the investigator and one week later I get a letter stating they are dropping any investigation.

And you all have the gall to say that I should spend one minute more in CA than I have to?

The judge approved the visitation schedule. I'm not a weekend dad. In fact I have been denied time by my ex on numerous occasions. I've given my ex my visitation dates through the end of 2011 and despite her not having plans has denied visitation time.

I don't want to inconvenience myself for my child? WTF??? I get on a plane on Friday morning, get back on a plane with my child on Friday afternoon... get back on a plane with my child on Monday morning and return alone Monday afternoon. That's not an inconvenience? If you believe I'm not being inconvenienced, you all are in lala land. I do it because I love my child and want to have a life with my child.

My ex and one of her 6 divorce attorneys was also sanctioned for bringing frivolous claims. In addition to sanctions, I was awarded attorneys fees. And yes, I spent close to $250,000 to get rid of this witch in attorneys fees!

In my opinion, a normal woman who wants to get on with her life would be THANKFUL that her ex-husband wants to spend as much time as possible with their daughter, spend ****loads of money to do this.

Oh and I'm a crappy dad for wanting her to miss a couple of hours of school in the second grade? Then what is she for taking our child out of school for days at a time to vacation and go to Taylor Swift concerts. Why don't you all who agree with her just go buy a bunch of tickets to Lilith Fair.

All I am trying to do is be reasonable and use logic. Another challenge for females.

It's the old "if a + b = c and b + c = a, then A must equal C".

What's the damned difference if when I take my child back to CA on Monday at 8:40am and my child doesn't get to school (thanks to mom) by noon, then what's is the difference if I take the child back later and gets to school by noon?

The school is on board. I'm sure the judge would love to see my ex again. Another fact, he warned her at the last hearing to not wear out her welcome in his courtroom.

I have offered to take my child full time and give AMPLE visitation to my ex. I have the time. I have the means to get my child to school, no need for child care, no need for child support. So screw that "Weekend/Disney Dad" rhetoric.

My child will be a winner... she'll lead the sheep. Just like my oldest child that will be graduating from one of the top universities in the nation- to the tune of $60,000 a year in tuition- paid in cash. I'm sure most of you haven't been to college or are still carrying student loans because you're too lazy to get a job and be a "stay at home mom".

Why am I "trolling" for free advice if I'm so rich? Believe me, I have calls into my attorneys. I don't feel like spending more than I already have on courts and lawyers.

Do I have "inadequate personality issues"? Do you "Creativeblock" even know what that means? I think not. Ignorance really shows.

FWIW... I finished up more than $16k by the end of the day... that's likely more than you or your husbands (combined) make in a couple of months. And if there are actually men on this forum, they are likely eunuchs. LOL

Now, flame away. That's what this forum seems to do best.

Um ... I don't know. Considering that my degree (which is mentioned in my siggie ~ how on earth are you capable to making $16K in one day with the observational abilities of a wet dishrag is beyond me) is in psychology, I'd say so. :D

Silverplum pointed out more of your displays of inadequate personality, but I think the above quote is decent enough for a start. :)

And um ... BTW, there is a difference between Inadequate Personality Disorder and HAVING an inadequate personality. You're welcome. Buh-bye.

You, my dear...

are a very small minded person.

Is this the man-hating lesbian board or an advice forum? LOL

We all know our truths. Really.

Again, priceless.

You see Dad...we're pro-child. We're not pro- or anti- Mom or Dad.

We are, very simply, pro-child.

And we wish more parents would be...

Read and learn, Dad. Read and learn.
