Hi, I live in Indiana and me and my wife are just a few days away from our provisional hearing. We both agree on everything and we want to share the same amount of time with our 3 children. My question is... is it possible for neither of us to pay child support which is the way we both want it. Neither of us have lawyers I simply filled out the correct paperwork online, printed it, we both signed it and then paid 136$ to file. Also I stated that both of us would have legal and primary custody, is this possible? Thx

I'm not a legal eagle but as long as you both agree, I've always been led to believe you can stipulate to anything. Probably better to listen to the experts, though.

If there is no public asistance involved, then, yes, you can agree to deviate from child support guideline and not have any support ordered.

Be aware, however, should custody change or one party decide to pursue support, that child support is fluid and modifiable as time goes on.

If two parents share comparable time with the children, and comparable incomes, no CS should be needed.

Had my final hearing today and just wanted to let anyone who had interest in this thread know what happened. We was awarded shared legal and physical custody of our 3 children and with me making 250$ more per week than her, I have to pay 20$ weekly in child support, even though I have the kids 4 nights a week and most of the time more than that. So all in all thats not bad right?

Thx for any help and info I received. I really appreciate it.
