What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CT

ill keep it short, cop witnessed me crash into telephone pole, was injured so no breathalyzer given but they have A blood sample after being taken to hospital (im assuming). It's been almost 3 months and no arrest, no tickets, no warrent and no court dates given. what should i expect?

im just curious what is taking so long to charge me if they plan on doing so? is it the police station or DA that's dealing with all this in the meantime? should i call the court to see if they have anything on record?

the police would be the one submitting it to the DA's office. the DA would be the one pressing charges.

if there was any damage to the pole, they'll tack on those charges too.

as to why they are taking so long? who really knows. could be paperwork. could be someone who handles it is on leave. someone was fired and the work hasn't been typed up yet. maybe it fell behind someone's desk. you'll never really know.

Blood tests, and depending on where they send them for analysis (not sure about CT though), can take a few weeks to come back. Then the case gets reviewed by the prosecuting attorney...
