Back in September 2011, I was involved with egging a local house with 3 other kids. We did it out of boredom. This neighborhood was a constant target of mischief by these boys previously. These neighbors were on the lookout. As we egged this house a lady was in the window and started screaming at us, as we began to run my cell phone dropped out of my pocket. The next day, the cops had retrieved my phone and called my father. They told him they knew who I was and I had to report into the station to get back my phone. When I went in, the cops questioned me. They asked where I was and I told them at my friend DJs house (a neighbor of the house we egged). He knew there was more than 1 person involved so he insisted I gave up names in order to get in less trouble. I refused to give up names and told him I might know people who are involved with mischiefing. He gave me an ultimatum to have the other 3 kids I was with go into the station and confess to the acts in 24 hours. I told the kids and I called the cop back and told him I sent the message across via voicemail. I never heard from then again until December 2011, when they called my mother and told her I had several charges against me including criminal mischief, loitering, prowling at nighttime, disorderly conduct etc. They told her I would be receiving something in the mail regarding these charges. Soon enough a few weeks later, I received a letter stating my charges and that I had to report to a probation officer on January 10, 2011 and I would then be told how my case would be handled. I went to the probation officer accompanied by the public defense attorney and from there I was told probation was inevitable and my choices were 3 month informal (no record) 6 month consent to creed (no record) or formal probation for 1 year that would go on my record. I was coerced into going for the 3 month informal so I admitted my guilt and wrote a statement saying I was involved in the egging with the 3 other kids. I was then put on pre-probation conditions and had to sign a paper stating I was to pay restitution, complete 40 hours of community service, report to my PO weekly, and to be subject to random urine analysis. I was then told after all 4 of us were in these conditions the DA would over look all of the statements and decide what probation i was to get. around February 10th (1 month later) the last kid went in. I got a call from my public defender stating all of the other kids said I brought the eggs and it was my idea to do the egging which went against my statement in which I said I didn't remember whose idea it was or who brought the eggs. She said the best decision for me would to give a new statement so that all 4 stories would match up and the DA would make an easier decision. She also stated that the DA would never see that I changed my statement. I went in, and gave a new statement saying it was my idea to do the egging and I brought them. After I gave a new statement my probation officer told me that I might need to go to court now and I may not be eligible for the 3 month probation even though at this time I completed half of my community service hours, checked in every week, and passed my drug/alcohol evaluation. My mother and I were both outraged feeling that they convinced me to agree to committing the act because they said the 3 month informal probation is what most likely id receive. I had to submit another drug test which came back negative. Now they said they will submit my new statement to the DA and I will hear back from them in a week or so determining what probation I would be put on. It is now 3/24/11 over 2 months since I was put on pre-probation terms and I have not heard anything from my PO or public defender and basically have had to live through 2 months of probation without my actual probation sentence. I am a straight A student, drive to school and work every day, accepted into Drexel University, and have a promising future. I read on this website about maybe talking to a judge or juvenile judge to try to get my probation repealed entirely because I have not violated my terms of probation so far, I have a job, good school grades and attendance, have 3/4 of my community service hours complete, ready to pay restitution, I have been left out in the dark by me PO and defense attorney, and served 2 months of probation already.

I don't know what I should do from here because if I get 3 month informal or the 6 month consent to creed that means I would be serving that sentence + 2 months for nothing. I'm also very worried about Drexel declining my application if I have anything go on my record. I've learned my lesson to never mischief again, and this is all still crazy to me that I was put on probation for egging a house in which I was not arrested, and the police did not have sufficient evidence to prove that I egged the house. What is your advice on what I should do?

You learned to write properly by eighth grade, yes? Do it here if you want help, please.

You need to dig deep, and hire a lawyer.

Oh, please.

By their actions ye shall know them. Make no mistake, junior, you are a child.

You want to know what I think you should do? I think you should hire an attorney, that's what I think you should do.

Why are you all bashing on me instead of helping? Im 18 years old by the way not a kiddo.
Then you're old enough to know better than what you did.

You're also old enough to pay for your own attorney (who you will seriously need).

You're also old enough to write better than an average 6th grader.

Not the kind you go out with ,either.

I have always believed it you did not do something , don't admit to it .

Who cares who brought the eggs ?

Don't change your story if you didn't .

Who said anything about jail? You don't go to jail for throwing eggs, you are a piece of work. I changed my story because my public lawyer said it would look better to the DA if all four of us had the same story.

Precisely how do you expect strangers on a message board to help you in ways that your attorney cannot?

Let's get one thing straight, sonny. We have no duty to you. If you want answers from this site, you need a major attitude adjustment. No one here has any obligation to say one word to you, let alone answer your questions or provide you with any help. Nor are we required to answer the way you think we should.

So either wise up and start treating the volunteers here with a little respect, or find your own answers.

Then I guess you're done here, huh? Feel free to ask for a refund on the way out.

You don't want to be called a sixth grader, don't write and behave like one.

You say you are not a child.

A child would know not to hack off people from whom you are asking help.

A man wouldn't be out egging homes. Honestly, I assumed you were 12.

You changed your confession and are then surprised that the circumstances changed as well.

You went from a participant to the instigator. Your "friends" threw you under the bus. Then you went ahead and agreed that under the bus is where you belong.

As for what you do next, since you believe our advice is worthless, I won't bother you with any more.
