This.... is EXTREMELY telling. For those of you who don't know, I'd like to tell you just HOW MANY INCHES OF PAPER is required to close a volume and make another. 22 volumes of litigation is RIDICULOUS.

Like I said, I hope the child finds the peace she needs.
Please do tell.

And then tell me how to find out how many volumes are contained in MY case. Because I consider MY case to be pretty darned litigous, but I'm willing to bet it's not even TWO volumes. Let alone TWENTY TWO.

Bet it's all Mom's fault though, in this case. Cuz I'm sure she's a terribly manipulative and dead-beatish person. IIRC.

And Doper? The "offense" felt by people here when you said "loss of a child" is because you didn't LOSE the child. The child is still HERE and accessible to you. You ALLOWED the child to LEAVE. That is an entirely different matter and your use of the language reeks of an attempt to elicit an emotional and sympathetic response rather than a rational and legally based one.

Me too. Which is some of the reasoning leading up to the decision.

Nope....nobody said it was all mom's fault. We have a terrible track record of being able to work things out without litigation, although recently some improvement.

Loss of a child referred to loss of custody. Poor choice of words on my part. Who knew that while thinking one thing and pounding keys produced another so much offense would be taken? It wasn't purposely stated as though the child died.

One could only expect a defensive response on my part given innuendo suggesting that a move was caused do to a relationship with dad. Not cool, no matter how you try to sugar coat it.

Perhaps part of the offense is that you were given the correct information and yet still had to come back and ask again, and received the very same answer.

The case will remain in the state/county it is currently held in if there is at least ONE of the parties still residing within its limits.
