I want to know if there is a law about someone getting a picture of one of my grandkids and posting it on their facebook page and other places on the internet. He does not have anyones permission to do this. How can I stop him and get the pictures off?

There is no law about posting a picture on facebook. If the picture is offensive feel free to use Facebook's procedures for having that photograph removed.

I had a mom tell me about her reservations over her children'a pictures on our church's Facebook page and I made sure not to use any photos with their images. Aside from direct communication with this person and stating your reasons for not wanting the pictures posted there is not much else you can do.

There are exceptions. Just a few:

- If the picture violates the person's right to privacy, the person who took it could be punished
- If the picture contains anything of a pornographic nature, it is a crime (I assume that's not the case on Facebook, but you never know)
- If the picture contains any identifying information, FB will remove it upon request

But I agree - first step should be to contact the person who posted them and ask for their removal
