What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? FL, Indiana

The reason I listed Fl and indiana as the state im in is because the company I worked for had a office in both states.

Just over a month ago I was hired by a truck driving company who was willing to train me to obtain my Class A CDL. They told me that If I were to receive my permit that they will train me and then give me a job. During my initial training I will be making $400.00 a week until I was assigned my own truck. I up quit my job, got my permit and went out on the rd with a trainer. I was on the rd for 37 days...with only 2 days of home time and no pay whatsoever. I decided to stick it out to earn my CDL...they did however give me $15 a day for food but that was it....we criss crossed the country...I drove countless hours...unloaded at Home Depots and Walmarts all over Kansas, Georgia, S. Carolina. Well just over a week ago I was dropped off at my house for some home time...they were suppose to send me some money and I never heard from them...then they said they were going to send me $300.00 which I thought was a joke, but I said cool whatever. A few days passed and no money. Well soon after that I heard from my trainer that they told him not to come and get me, that I was a waste of time. They didnt even have the courtesy themselves to tell me and when I told them i was going to file suit they sent me a text saying this "who are you? we dont have a driver names brian". Anyway so now im stuck with no money, a month of my life wasted, my car is about to get repod...I really need some help and they are refusing to pay me...actually i havent heard from them outside of that one text. I know they can get rid of me for any reason im sure..but they cant withold money from me. And actually I believe they are in breach of contract..granted it was verbal but still binding i think. I have ton of proof and need help...so what can i do.

Florida doesn't have much of a Department of Labor so I suggest you contact the federal Department of Labor and file a complaint with them for your unpaid wages. I don't see a breach of contract but I definitely see a violation federal wage and hour laws.
