What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

My Grandson was staying with us and he went on line after we were discussing seeing a show at our civic center. He went onto a ticket agency site located in Connecticut and ordered tickets using my credit card that he took from my table. He wanted to surprise me. When I called and tried to cancel it I got a recording that tickets were non refundable. I left a message and sent an e-mail. I have not gotten a return phone call or e-mail. This happened Sunday evening it is now Tuesday morning. What can I do. If I stop it on my credit card what happens if they say their policy is non refundable?

You can try disputing the transaction on your credit card. However, I don't think you'll be successful. Your grandson misprepresented himself. He pretended to be you, so as far as the ticket agency is concerned, you made the purchase.

Why on earth did you leave your credit card laying around? I suggest you make kiddo pay you for the tickets. Make him wash cars, mow lawns, take dogs for walks, etc. You also need to use this as a teching moment. This is the perfect opportunity for you to teach him about right and wrong.

If you don't want to go that route. Call the cops on your grandson, report that he stole your card, and then surely your credit card company will reverse the transaction.
