I'd like to discuss this "groovy" thing of yours.

Why bring it back?

What makes it better than, say, "awesome"?

What's your prediction of success?

Is this an attempt to recapture our youth?

"Awesome" makes me think of vapid scenesters, driving an over-used catch-all into the colloquial ground. Awesome has lost its awesomeness.

"Groovy" makes me thing of smiling, long-haired people eating granola and raising babies collectively while strumming guitars, singing about peace, and buying the world a Coke. Also: far out.

Guilty as charged:eek:. My guzzler gets 15 miles to the gallon on a good day.

Oh, and I vote yes on the tye-dyed emoticon.:)
I long for 15 mpg on my guzzler. '93 3/4 ton Suburban with the 454. Yeah, I've been working on tanker-to-car refueling!

My daily driver varies between 17 and 19 though ;)

You make very fine points, and I am now on your "groovy" side. (Except that I am not a fan of Coke, or of granola, or of most strumming guitars. I blame my BIL.)

I'll work "groovy" into conversation IRL, and plan to post it at least once per day.

That is so groovy!

ETA: back in my groovy days, I stored my guitars and Cokes in my VW van...and, yes, there was a flower painted on it.

Is it allowed to 'feel groovy'? If so, I'd like to note for the record that I am currently 'feeling groovy'. :p

I feel that I have been slandered. I either walk, ride my bike or moped as much as possible so that I leave minor footprints on this earth. He says that I drive a gas guzzling SUV. Can I sue? Please?
I wear a size 11 shoe so it doesn't matter what I ride or drive, I leave a pretty large footprint.:D
